Soursdey Chnam Thmey - Happy Khmer New Year!

Special games in the streets and schoolyard, round bread popping up at the market, Chnam Thmey songs and videos playing in every shop as you walk along the road, and people swaying and making bird wings out of their hands.

Cambodian's know how to party. It's Cambodian New Year (April 13 - 16.) The party has been going on for two weeks, not sure when it stops or starts. No school. Everyone goes back to the provinces to see their families, so Phnom Penh gets a lot quieter.

This is one of my favorite videos from the celebration. I love the chipmunk smile on the main singer's face and his eyebrows as he's swooning for the girl.

Music is SO Good: Ocean by John Butler

There are certain aspects of life that cannot be expressed in words, thankfully music steps in.

If you are going to press play on the video, think first. You might want to clear the distractions, tell everyone to leave, put on the headphones and get comfy. Wow, it's good.
